When applying disperse dyes for printing on polyester with CHROMOJET.SYSTEMS with HSV 800 jets, a certain build-up of residue has been experienced.
We would like to supply you with a cleaning instruction that helped operators to remove build-up successfully. Please be reminded that you will apply this method at your own risk, as we can‘t evaluate the outcome under your individual operation settings and conditions. Recommended application schedule: Execute this cleaning process once a week, or whenever needed.
Default stock paste: 20 grams of CombiPRINT PP7 in 980 grams soft water or RO-water
Recipe for 1 kg of cleaning paste (add all products under stirring) | |
1. water at ca. 35°C / 95°F: | 954 g |
2. stock paste | 40 g (stock-paste of 20g/kg PP7 in soft water or RO water) |
3. Sera-Sperse M-IW or Sera-Sperse M-IS (Dystar) | 5 gr (dispersing agent) |
4. Sodium dithionite (sodium hydrosulphite) | 1 g |
5. pH target value must be around 11 | (add NaOH if necessary to increase the pH value) |
Cleaning procedure
- Execute the normal color system washing procedure using fresh water
- Fill the complete color system with the cleaning paste described above
- Keep the cleaning paste inside the color system for about 60 minutes.
- Execute the normal color system washing procedure using fresh water two times in a row. This should remove any residue from the system and reset the color supply system to perfect cleanness again.
Remarks
- To fill the complete color supply system of your CHROMOJET machine for cleaning, about 60—70 liters of cleaning paste are required for every color (depends on the length of the color supply pipes).
- For a 10-color machine prepare about 700 liters. If your color tanks are empty (and cleaned thoroughly with water), you may fill the required amount of cleaning paste into every color tank.
- Optionally you may use the clear paste tank for the complete amount of cleaning paste: Fill the color supplies one after the other from the clear paste tank.
